All the recommendation steps for migrating to a new server all require using the same servername.
Is there any way of creating a new primary site server and migrating across without having to use the same servername?
I know you can have two primary site servers running in the same domain but do you have to have separate SQL databases and content locations or can both primary site servers use the same\share the same information\data?
I am trying to see if we can run two primary site servers side by side with the same packages, contents, device collections, patching groups etc..before removing the old server.
Any information or guidance as to how this can be done would be appreciated.
